🚋👥For those with mobility challenges, Alcatraz Island's steep terrain can be navigated with the assistance of the S.E.A.T. tram, operating approximately twice an hour. Covering about 1/4 mile with an elevation change of 130 feet, the tram shuttles visitors from the dock to the Cellhouse and back. Boarding is on a first-come, first-served basis, permitting one accompanying person for visitors with mobility issues, subject to space availability. Unfortunately, children in strollers cannot use S.E.A.T. The rest of the party can reunite with the visitor either at the Cellhouse or the Alcatraz Island dock.

After Alcatraz, return to Pier 33 by ferry, where San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf awaits exploration. Consider staying near the Wharf or taking a historic cable car back to your downtown hotel.
